India and Uzbekistan

 4th edition of the DUSTLIK 2023 military exercise in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand.

 

PRALAY

The PRALAY was conducted on the North-eastern border where Chinese infiltrations are rising these days.

 

AMPHEX

All three defense forces of India, the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force participated in AMPHEX recently.AMPHEX is a tri-service exercise and was held in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.

 

TRISHAKTI PRAHAR

The Indian Defense Forces conducted firepower exercises called the “TRISHAKTI PRAHAR” to synergize the firepower assets and to orchestrate a battle. The exercise was conducted by the Indian Air Force, CAPF, and the Indian Army. It was held at the Teesta Field Firing Ranges near Siliguri.

 

TARKASH

India and USA military recently conducted the TARKASH exercise in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.The Special Operation Forces of the US and the National Security Guard of India participated in the exercise.This exercise focused on CBRN TERROR RESPONSE.CBRN means Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear

 

Dharma Guardian Exercise

India and Japan recently conducted the 4th edition of Dharma Guardian Exercise. The exercise was held at Camp Imazu of Shiga province in Japan. The Garhwal Rifle regiment of the Indian Army participated in the exercise. The armies shared tactics and their best practices with each other.

 

Agneyastra 1

The Indian Army conducted a massive military exercise Agneyastra 1 in eastern Ladakh. Agneyastra means firearms

 

AJEYA WARRIOR-23

The 7th edition of joint military exercise “AJEYA WARRIOR-23” It takes place between India and the United Kingdom Conducted at Salisbury Plains, United Kingdom from 27 April to 11 May 2023

 

Yudh Abhyas

Armies of India and the United States will begin another edition of their joint military exercise 'Yudh Abhyas' at Fort Wainwright in Alaska. It is a joint military exercise conducted annually between the armies of India and USA happening since 2004. This will be the 19th edition of the joint exercise

 

SALVEX

The Seventh edition of Indian Navy – US Navy (IN – USN) Salvage and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) exercise, SALVEX was conducted from 26 Jun – 06 Jul 23 at Kochi.INDIAN Navy and US Navy have been participating in joint Salvage and EOD exercises since 2005. The exercise saw participation from both the navies which included the ships INS Nireekshak and USNS Salvor

 

Ekatha 2023

6th edition of 'Exercise Ekatha 2023' between the Maldives National Defence Force Coast Guard and the Indian Navy was conducted successfully on July 3, 2023 in Maldives.The exercise was attended by MNDF sailors and Indian Navy marine commandos (MARCOS).

India- Kyrgyzstan held 10th edition of joint exercise 'Khanjar’ Held at Tokmok, Kyrgyzstan

 

AFINDEX

Pune hosted strategically important 10-day Africa-India Field Training Exercise (AFINDEX 2023) from March 21 This was the second edition of AFINDEX.

 

EX AGNI DAMAN-23

EX AGNI DAMAN-23 To emphasise the need for awareness and training of men on firefighting as also to exercise the capabilities of combined forces of all agencies including military and civil , a mutual firefighting Exercise named AGNI DAMAN-23 was conducted at 29 Field Ammunition Depot, Dehu Road Conducted under the aegis of Headquarter Southern Command on 28 Apr 2023.

 

KAVACH

Indian Armed Force’s only tri-service command, Andaman and Nicobar Command recently concluded Exercise KAVACH, a large-scale joint military exercise. The large-scale joint exercise saw the involvement of the ‘Shatrujeet Brigade’ of the Army, Armed Forces Special Operations Division (AFSOD), Special Forces of the Navy and Amphibious troops of the Andaman and Nicobar Command.

 

FRINJEX-23,

The Indian and French armies launched a maiden joint military exercise, FRINJEX-23, It was conducted at Pangode Military Station in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala

 

Sudarshan Shakti 2023

The Sapta Shakti Command of Indian Army conducted exercise Sudarshan Shakti 2023 along the Western borders in Rajasthan and Punjab from May 22 to 25.

 

Ex Ekuverin

The 12th edition of the joint military exercise "Ex Ekuverin” between the Indian Army and the Maldives National Defence Force was conducted at Chaubatia, Uttarakhand. The exercise started on 11 June and continued until 24 June, 2023 The word Ekuverin means ‘Friends

 

The Veer Guardian 2023

The Veer Guardian 2023 Exercise was held from January 16 to 26, 2023 between India and Japan. This 10-day exercise was held between the Indian Air Force and the Japanese Air Self Defence Force (JASDF) at Japan’s Hyakuri air base and Iruma air base. The first female fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force (IAF), squadron commander Avani Chaturvedi participated in the inaugural air exercise Veer Guardian 2023.

 

Varuna naval exercise

The Indian and French Navies recently concluded the Phase II of the 21st edition of the Varuna naval exercise, Varuna-23. Phase II - Held in the Arabian Sea Phase I - Held in Western Seaboard

 

 

 

Cyclone-I.

The Indian and the Egyptian Armies conducted the first-ever joint exercise Cyclone-I. It was held in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan and went on for 14 days. Exercise Desert Warrior is held between the Air Forces of the countries. India and Egypt manufactured Helen-300 jointly

 

OPS ALERT

The BSF conducted a seven-day long exercise called the “OPS ALERT”. During the exercise, the security personnel held drills in the India – Pakistan border that extends between Rann of Kutch and Sir Creek and also in the Barmer district of Rajasthan. The border is highly vulnerable & porous in these regions

 

Vayu Prahar

The Indian Army and Air Force have conducted multi-domain air and land exercise, called ‘Vayu Prahar’, in the eastern sector.

 

Desert Flag VIII

The exercise Desert Flag VIII was held in the UAE air base Al Dhafra. Indian Air Force participated in the exercise. It is a multi-country exercise.

 

ZAYED TALWAR

Two Indian Navy ships, INS Visakhapatnam and INS Trikand conducted a bilateral naval maritime partnership exercise with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Navy. The two ships arrived at Dubai's Port Rashid on August 8, 2023, to participate in exercise 'Zayed Talwar' with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Navy

 

Cobra Warrior Exercise

The Cobra Warrior Exercise was held at Waddington Air Force Base in the UK in March 2023. It is a multinational exercise. The IAF sent five Mirage 2000 fighters along with IL-78 mid-air refueller aircraft, and two C-17 Globemaster.

 

Sea Dragon 23

The 3rd edition of the Sea Dragon 23 exercise is a biennial coordinated multilateral anti-submarine warfare (ASW) exercise for long-range maritime reconnaissance aircraft. The exercise is hosted by the United States Navy It was held for the first time in 2015.

 

Bold Kurukshetra

The 13th edition of Exercise Bold Kurukshetra, a bilateral exercise between the armies of India and Singapore, was conducted from March 6 to 13, 2023, at Jodhpur Military Station, India.

 

Al-Mohed-Al Hindi-23

The Indian Navy and Royal Saudi Naval Forces joint naval exercise, 2nd edition of ‘Al-Mohed-Al Hindi-23’, It took place in May 2023 in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

 

Konkan 2023

The Indian Navy and the Royal UK Navy conducted their annual bilateral maritime exercise called Konkan 2023 off the Konkan coast in the Arabian Sea from March 20 to 22, 2023. This exercise involved INS Trishul, a guided missile frigate

 

SLINEX-2023

SLINEX-2023 is the 10th edition of the annual India-Sri Lanka Bilateral Maritime Exercise. The exercise featured two phases i.e., the Harbour Phase and the Sea Phase. The Harbour Phase was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from April 3-5, followed by the Sea Phase from April 6-8, off Colombo.

 

Cope India-2023

The sixth edition of Cope India-2023, an Air Exercise between the Indian Air Force (IAF) and United States Air Force (USAF), conducted at Air Force Stations Kalaikunda, Panagarh and Agra, culminated on 24 Apr 2023.

 

INIOCHOS-23

Exercise INIOCHOS-23 is a multi-national air exercise hosted by the Greece Air Force, in which the Indian Air Force (IAF) participated.

 

ASEAN India Maritime Exercise (AIME-2023)

Indian Naval Ships Satpura and Delhi arrived at Singapore to participate in the Inaugural ASEAN India Maritime Exercise (AIME-2023). This exercise was conducted from May 2 to May 8, 2023, The Harbour Phase was scheduled to be held at Changi Naval Base, the Sea Phase of AIME-2023 was conducted in the South China Sea.

 

Buland Bharat

The Indian Army conducted integrated training exercise, codenamed Exercise Buland Bharat, in the high-altitude ranges of the eastern theatre in Arunachal Pradesh.

 

Samudra Shakti-23

4th edition of Indo-Indonesia bilateral Exercise Samudra Shakti-23 concluded in South China Sea. The sea phase held from 17-19 May 2023 witnessed participation of ASW corvette INS Kavaratti with integral Chetak helicopter and a Dornier Maritime Patrol Aircraft.

 

Jal Rahat

The Indian Army’s Gajraj Corps recently conducted a joint flood relief drill called ‘Exercise Jal Rahat.’ The drill took place at Hagrama Bridge on the Manas River in Assam, aiming to enhance flood relief preparedness ahead of the monsoon season.

 

‘Nomadic Elephant 2023

The Indian Army went to Mongolia to participate in the 15th edition of the joint military exercise called ‘Nomadic Elephant 2023.’ The exercise was in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from July 17-31

 

Tarang Shakti

The Indian Air Force’s multi-national exercise, Tarang Shakti will take place in 2024.

 

MALABAR2023

The 27th edition of Exercise MALABAR concluded off the East Coast of Australia on August 21, 2023 in Sydney. INS Sahyadri and INS Kolkata participated in Exercise MALABAR2023
